It does not surprise me, with all his talent. So happy for him. Wish I could make it, but will be out of the country

I was in the audience at the IBC finals concert at the Orpheum Theatre. This was our first trip to Memphis (our 16 year old aspiring bassist performed in the Youth Showcase.) We heard a lot of great music, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, but nothing touched me as much as Mighty Orq’s performance at the Orpheum. The clarity and resonance of Org’s guitar, from where we sat in the mezzanine level, twice raised goose bumps over my whole body. A few times in my life I can remember music touching me deep in my being, like singing hymns at a candlelight Christmas eve service when I was a child and the first really good blues guitar I heard live in Chicago. This was also one of those times. Amazing. Thank you.

Wow, thank you so much! I’m so glad you enjoyed the performance, and so glad that it moved you in such a positive way. Music is a powerful thing, and we’re all so lucky to get to participate in it. Thanks so Mich again, and warmest regards. -Mighty Orq
